Concept

A serialized series of stories centered around a team of British operatives during World War II, one of who is a zombie.  Each story consists of 2-3 episodes, interconnected by a location and mission. A typical eight episode season would have two three part stories and one two part.

Each mission would consist of the primary A plot focused on MI86 combating the Nazi Supernatural Weapons Group while recovering an artifact.  The B plot would revolve around a historical mission during World War II.

As a center of operations MI86 is buried deep under a cemetery in London.  The location is affectionally known as The Afterlife and houses nearly 300 undead wards that must be contained lest they spread their infection.   It is from here that James, Rachael and Lance receive their mission assignments from Brigadier Biddlesworth.

Origin

The concept of MI86 originated from observations of the diminishing knowledge of World War II, the perils posed by the Nazi regime, and the heroic exploits of those who confronted the greatest evil the world had ever known.

MI86 itself is a play on both MI6 and the restaurant term used to remove items from a menu or cancel an order (86). The latter has been mistakenly attributed to the military as meaning “dead” or “kill.” There are multiple interpretations of the meaning of MI86; the logical and official interpretation is Military Intelligence section 86, but it can also be seen as James asking, “Am I Dead.” 

Hook

In desperation to hold the Nazi’s off the British Military has begun using a dangerous process with dirt from the propertied tomb of Jesus Christ to bring dead soldiers back to life, the problem is the experiment has created only mindless, blood thirsty undead that they can not control and only contain within the Headquarters of a new secret branch of the government MI86. Faced with utter and complete failure they keep trying until their eventual success with James Dennesy.   James Dennesy becomes the first and only conscious and capable zombie, so long as he can keep his head.

Even though they know that James is dangerous and could kick off the total extinction of all mankind they deploy James with two other agents (Rachael and Lance) to combat the Supernatural weapons group (Unglaubliche Waffens Group attempts to find mystical relics and holy objects to ensure victory for Germany.
